  • Breathwork is the practice of using the breath in an intentional way to influence your physical, emotional, and mental states. This involves controlled breathing patterns that help calm the mind, release tension, and create a deeper connection to the body.

  • While breathwork is generally safe for most people, certain medical conditions require caution. If you are pregnant, have cardiovascular issues, respiratory conditions, epilepsy, or any serious medical concerns, it’s important to consult with your healthcare provider before beginning breathwork. When changing the rate, depth and rhythm of our breath this stimulates certain reactions within the body. This can be linked to triggering an epileptic episode in those who suffer with epilepsy.

When we consciously alter our breathing, it can impact heart rate and blood pressure. For individuals with cardiovascular conditions, it’s important to avoid adding stress to an already strained system. Sudden changes in heart rate and blood pressure may be enough to aggravate underlying issues in those with cardiovascular dysfunction.

Additionally if you have been diagnosed with panic attacks, anxiety, high blood pressure, migraines and post-traumatic stress disorder or ANY pre-existing medical condition including not listed here, please consult with your healthcare provider before engaging in breathwork.

  • During our sessions, you will be guided through specific breathing techniques designed to help you relax. Sessions will begin with an explanation of the techniques being used, how we can influence the nervous system, followed by the focused breathwork practice. You may experience a range of sensations, from feelings of deep relaxation to an emotional release. The session will end with a period of integration, to allow you to rest and reflect on your experience Sessions typically last around an hour.

  • To get the most out of your breathwork session, it’s important to create a calm, quiet space where you won’t be disturbed and you can lie down. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, and have water nearby to stay hydrated. If it’s comfortable to do so, you can use an eye mask and blanket during the session.

  • No prior experience is required to begin breathwork. It is a practice that can be used at all levels, from complete beginners to those with more experience. Each session is designed to guide you through the process, making it accessible and easy to follow, no matter where you are on your journey.

  • It’s normal to experience intense emotions or sensations during breathwork, as it can bring up stored feelings and tension. If you ever feel overwhelmed, simply return to your natural breathing pattern and let me know. You are always in control of your breath, and I will support you in finding a pace that feels comfortable and safe.

  • By using your breath in an intentional way, you can connect more deeply with your body and emotions, helping to release unresolved tensions and emotions. This creates space for self-reflection, emotional healing, and increased self-awareness, leading to meaningful shifts in how you experience life.
